Meher Mount has a long tradition of like-minded individuals and groups joining together to assist Meher Mount in meeting many of its operational needs.  Agnes Baron, Avatar Meher Baba's "watchdog" at Meher Mount, always regarded work and service as a doorway to spirituality. She often spoke of the value of Karma Yoga, or selfless service.

 

Supported totally by volunteer assistance, Meher Mount provides individuals with the opportunity to work and truly practice Karma Yoga or the path of selfless service.

 

TEMPORARY ON-SITE CARETAKERS:

At times Meher Mount needs extra volunteers to serve and care for the Land and Center for a temporary interval of a few days up to several weeks in the place of the on-site volunteer Caretaker/Managers.

 

We seek volunteers who have flexible schedules without any conflicting responsibilities. Volunteers must have their own transportation vehicle.  Watering gardens and housekeeping are among the daily responsibilities. Basic public relations and facility "up-keep" skills are ideal for potential temporary caretaker volunteers.
