For those wishing to camp, there is a nearby Ventura County Campground just 4 miles from Meher Mount called Dennison County Park. The campsite fee is $20 per day. The campground has all the amenities and is very easy to find.  It is on Highway 150 at the top of the Dennison Grade mid way between Ojai and Meher Mount. If you are coming from Downtown Ojai you will see the campground entrance on the right-hand side of the road enroute to Meher Mount. MEHER MOUNT HOURS:

Saturday, Sunday: noon to 5 pm

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: noon to 5 pm

Monday, Tuesday: closed

Bring a picnic lunch and drinking water (the Meher Mount tap water is high in mineral content), walk the land, enjoy the view, meditate and relax under the shade of Baba’s tree, or utilize the browsing library.

 

REGISTRATION:
Upon arrival all guests must register by signing the Meher Mount Guest Book in the reception area of the Center. Also, you may indicate if you would like to be on our mailing list or volunteer.

 

PARKING:
Park in the designated grass-covered parking area on the left, immediately after turning into the entrance to Meher Mount.

 

RETREAT ATMOSPHERE:
Maintain the serene atmosphere by keeping noise levels low.

No smoking, drugs or intoxication at Meher Mount.

 

DRINKING WATER:
While Meher Mount provides drinking water, supply is not always available. Please bring your own supply of drinking water if possible.

SAFTEY:
Meher Mount is a semi-wilderness area containing some hazards, including, but not limited to :

§  Natural hazards such as rough potted roads, trails, terrain; poison oak, poisonous snakes, poisonous insects and wildlife; old farm equipment, old building foundations, maintenance machinery and equipment in open and enclosed storage areas, a fenced-in and covered pool no longer in use.

§  Potential hazardous weather conditions.

§  Fire hazard is a major concern. No open fires, candles, smoking, or incense are permitted anywhere on the property without special permission.

 

PETS:
Dogs are not allowed.   If traveling with you, your pet should remain in your car, weather permitting. With Caretaker permission, a dog may remain on a leash in your company in the parking area but please be aware that the domestic dog can disrupt and disturb the native wildlife that rely on access to Meher Mount natural resources for food and water as well as the quiet serenity that others come to Meher Mount to enjoy.

Meher Mount is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that exists through the support of all who appreciate it. Your donations to Meher Mount are tax deductible.

There is no requirement or suggested donation on your visits to Meher Mount. However many people give at that time. Others tend to send their donation once a year in response to the Annual Fund Campaign or several times during the year.
