Meher Mount is located in the Upper Ojai Valley

between the village of Ojai and Santa Paula.

 

Please refer to the Visitation section of this website

for Meher Mount general open hours and call the

volunteer Caretaker/Managers before you plan to visit

to ensure that the Entrance Gate is open for you.

FROM ROUTE 150/Ojai-Santa Paula Road:

Turn onto Sulphur Mountain Road,

Go 2 .5 miles up Sulphur Mountain Rd,

Turn left at the entrance sign for Meher Mount

and enter at the white gate.

NOTE:

§  Some street addresses on the Mountain are not in order.

§  There are two entrances to Sulphur Mountain Road.

 

§  You must enter the Sulphur Mountain Road from route 150

in the Upper Ojai Valley which is considered the East Entrance.

 

§  Do not enter Sulphur Mountain Road from route 33, the West Entrance.

This section of road is not paved through to Meher Mount.

 

FROM THE SOUTH

VIA ROUTE 101:

1. Through Ojai: 101 to 33 to 150

2. Through Santa Paula: 101 to 126 to 150 (shorter)

 

 VIA ROUTE 5:

5 to 126 West, to 150 in Santa Paula

follow toward Ojai.  Turn LEFT onto

Sulphur Mountain Road, which is

10 miles from downtown Santa Paula

 

FROM THE NORTH

VIA ROUTE 101:

1. 101 to 150 in Carpenteria

2. 101 to 33 in Ventura to 150

Continue through town of Ojai and

through Dennison Grade.

 

NOTE:  From the apex of Dennison Grade

you will go 2 .5 miles and Turn RIGHT

at Sulphur Mountain Road, just after

the white sign for "Twin Creek Ranch" and

about 7 miles past downtown Ojai.

 

FROM THE NORTH AND EAST

VIA ROUTE 5:

5 to 126 West, to 150 in Santa Paula

Follow 150 toward Ojai, Turn LEFT on

Sulphur Mountain Road, which is approx.

10 miles from downtown Santa Paula
